6.12.09 - New Release

- Fixed movement AI bug which caused two units moving in opposite directions to wait for each other indefinitely (which often caused transports in supply lines to get stuck).

- Fixed supply line fuel starvation bug; transports will now always mantain enough spare capacity for refueling.

- Nomads now refuel to 500.

- Fixed bug which caused resources to be placed too close together (rendering them unusable) when spawning.

- Smarter movement AI - increased A* search depth from 500 to 2000, which allows smart pathfinding over larger distances.

- Fixed bug which caused incorrect quantity calculations in supply lines.

- If there are insufficient resources or power, a builder will now wait and begin construction once resources are available.

- It is now possible to run BP with a more recent version of Java that you have installed locally. This is an experimental feature; see the Forum for more details.

- Deathmatches now start in a paused state and can be controlled with /pause and /resume.

1.18.08
A new planet, "Perlinus Reborn", is now available.

A few other updates:

- I have set up a basic email system which I will start using soon for important updates. If you want to receive updates via email, log into your BP Profile and make sure your email address is up-to-date, and the box titled "Send me an email if..." is checked. The first email will probably have a broad distribution to make sure people know the feature is available, but from there it will be opt-in, so go ahead and sign up now.

- A new release will be coming soon (within a couple weeks). This is a small release, but it includes a couple of important changes: (1) The supply-line transport starvation bug (i.e. fill up with iron and run out of fuel) will be fixed. (2) A newer version of LWJGL will be included, which has better compatibility with new drivers, including Vista drivers.

- The effort to open-source the client portion of BP is nearly complete. A bit of packaging and uploading is all that remains. My goal is to have this complete by end-of-day on Monday (a holiday in the US).
